(More customer reviews)I ordered this turntable to transfer recordings from my old 78 records to my computer. It came with a software CD, which [as with any USB turntable] transfers the files from the turntable to the computer and lets you clean up the 'noise.' The CD that came with the turntable did not have the right software for my Mac, but I downloaded the recommended - and free - 'Audacity' software from audacity.sourceforge.net. along with a PDF version of the user manual. If you use a PC rather than a Mac you should not have this problem. Being a novice, it took me a few hours of reading and experimenting to get things working the way I wanted, but I'm completely satisfied with the result. A great USB turntable at a great price.

Here's a crafty USB turntable from Numark that enables you to convert your vinyl to WAV or MP3. Convert 33/45/78 RPM records using the turntable and included software. The rugged turntable can be powered by batteries or AC power, and features a dustcover with handle and built-in speaker for portability.
The PT-01USB TurntableThe PT-01USB plugs directly into your computer via a USB connection, for easy transfer of your vinyl records to digital WAV or MP3 files. It's a belt-driven turntable, complete with 33, 45, and 78 RPM settings and a Numark CZ-800-10 cartridge. A +/- 10% pitch control lets you fine-tune the pitch to your liking.
RCA line outputs enable connection to your DJ system or home stereo so you can use PT-01USB as a standard record-player, and a built-in internal speaker gives you simple monitoring (a headphone jack is also included).
Line InputThe turntable also features an 1/8-inch line input, so you can connect other sound sources such as tape decks and convert them to digital files as well.
Rugged and PortableThis turntable can run on either wall or battery power (six "D" batteries, not included), and comes with a cover with integrated carry-handle. Sotware IncludedUsing the included recording software, no special drivers are needed to connect PT-01USB to any Mac or PC via USB and transfer music from vinyl to hard disk. EZ Vinyl Converter 2 (PC) and EZ Audio Converter (Mac) software are included to make importing audio simple. EZ Vinyl Converter 2 imports your songs directly into your iTunes library, automatically separating tracks, and with a free download of Gracenote MusicID, it can even automatically name your tracks.
