I've been using John Pearse Light's for about two years: first on my cheap but tweaked Epiphone MB-100 and then on my Somerset S-5. I play clawhammer in a folk/frailing style, and these strings are just perfect for my hand. They feel ultra-flexible and left-hand effects are easy to do. I'm tempted to buy a case of them to prevent getting caught short if the company disappears.
That said, these are not the right strings for every banjo player or every instrument. If you have an ultra-short scale travel banjo or if you want a louder, more solid sound, these are probably not for you.
