These srings are by far produce a tone I've never heard from any other maker. I enjoy the 14 gauge (High E) as much as if not more than the 12 gauge for overall playing; but each has his/her preference. Use a 4mm thick V-Pick and after fooling with his combanation find it a great match. Bending the strings isn't hard it just takes getting use to and the speed with a low action setup is amazing I.E., Chromatic playing ... shallow desire lead to shallow results! Expensive? Yes, but in this case I get what I've paid for. GHS flat wounds are next pick and cheaper. Bottom line, regardless of strings, if you want to play you'll play. There is a difference in how well the execution of playing is however with experimenting with strings.
Play, pray on!
