This is a good instrument to keep around the house for fun or when friends and family are over. Nice looking, too. Since it's so inexpensive, you won't worry about leaving it out or letting the kids play with it (as opposed to a $700 Kamaka, for example). Can be difficult to keep in tune until the strings break-in and the tuners may need tightening. The description is incorrect...it has geared, rather than friction tuners. The down side with such a cheap instrument is inconsistency...I also have the Hilo tenor ukulele and I think the frets are off, because even after tuning the strings, the chords never sound quite right.
