I've been using Boomers for a while now and ave been very happy with them over most other strings. I also used DR Blues quite a bit and I loved their feel and tone. I finally had to give up on them though because of nagging string buzz and dead strings (The wound ones mostly) eve though I installed them carefully and correctly just like they suggest. They definitely don't like being top-wrapped but I also had the same problems going straight thru the ABR-1.
Having said all that, these strings are very similar (if not better) than the the DR Blues and have none of the buzzing issues, etc. They even top-wrap and sound great. They are a bit warmer than Boomers so work better in certain guitars I think. They're called 'rockers' but I find they are nice for blues. Really good tone, feel and sustain. Very nice strings.
