(More customer reviews)There aren't many manufacturers that sell 8-string sets as you probably know from browsing Amazon. I found my way to Amazon after visiting four local music stores and none of them stocked 8-string sets. These strings are extra bright and seem to hold their tone quite well. Bought an 8-string used and these were what was on the bass when it came to me. I noticed the string brightness right away and I don't have an exact time frame, but the strings were bright until one finally broke (a few weeks so I believe they were somewhat old). The new set I replaced them with have incredible projection of sound. I will be using these nickel wounds on my 4-strings moving forward having made the transition from Boomers which I've used for almost two decades. I would even go as far to say these rival Rotosounds in tone. Next time you break a string give these a shot if you're a crisp player that needs harmonics in their sound.
Yes, the best price I found was here at Amazon as well. If you have an 8-string you're already lucky. If you need strings you're in the right place. I've been playing bass 24 years, half of that professionally, and I highly recommend these strings.
