I always try to be fair, and often give a positive slant BUT NOT THIS TIME:
I've heard again and again the best string choice for a jazz box are flat wound strings.
So I gave these GHS Flats a try and found them to be VERY MUDDY. So much so that I don't even like playing my jazz guitar anymore - HOWEVER, I recently DID get to play on a friends guitar that had D'Addario CHROME FLATS and loved them. Still gave a rich deeper tone without sacraficing the highs.
