(More customer reviews)I've been playing fingerstyle acoustic blues/folk for about seven years now, I play for several hours a day, and these are my favorite strings. Their sound is mellower but still bright- meaning they don't have that tin sound common to fresh strings, and they hold up longer. They don't break often (and I really snap my strings). Also, because of the coating your fingertips don't stick to the strings- it's so much nicer that I consistently notice when I pick up someone else's guitar that other types of strings grab at your fingers- not preferable. They are not much more expensive than other brands if you buy them online. I use the nanoweb custom lights (want to be somewhat gentle with my old guitar). On the down side, you may get spoiled with them....
